I was also looking for something I wouldn’t have to be a genius in order to put together. The Barnett BCX Buck Commander Extreme CRT Crossbow Package seemed like the perfect fit, and this is why I chose it. When I first got this I wasn’t overwhelmed at all. What I read online was exactly what I ended up getting.
There is really nothing at all I could think of to change with this. There is a scope that comes with it and it seems very adequate. Occasionally I have bumped and the accuracy is still pretty good.
With the Barnett BCX Buck Commander Extreme CRT Crossbow Package you will have no trouble carrying it around. It’s very light. Not only this, but it can go on the shoulder very easily. Assembly was very easy as previously mentioned. I like the fact that this crossbow is very accurate. I tested it out by shooting off at 40 yards.
I found you can actually mess up previously fired bolts if I aim right at them. This is a really fast crossbow, and at long distances you can hit targets really good.
The only thing I would recommend for those who decide to get the Barnett BCX Buck Commander Extreme CRT Crossbow Package is that they get an arrow retriever. This will enable you to get a good grip on bolts in order to pull them out easily. Personally I used a sling in order to steady the bow when I’m shooting at far distances.
This is a very newbie friendly crossbow that I feel anyone can learn to use very quickly. As far as the price goes it’s more than affordable as well.

I feel that those who are new to the world of crossbows will appreciate the Barnett BCX Buck Commander Extreme CRT Crossbow. It doesn’t require much effort to put together and you can be out practicing with it in no time. There are other crossbows out there that might be better, but as far as I’m concerned this option is the easiest to start with.
I feel I might use this to gain some needed experience and then consider making an upgrade to something more complex.
Shooting at long speeds is something I feel this crossbow does very well. It’s just so powerful it can be a bit intimidating at times. The recommendation to get an arrow retriever is one you should take seriously. Don’t worry, these don’t cost a lot of money and you can find them in a number of places.
I’m pleased with this crossbow and I honestly feel other will be pleased with it as well. I advise people to take some time to check out some online reviews themselves just to make sure this is a good fit for them though. This shouldn’t be tough to do.
